Stephen Jakobot Yoga Instructor

Stephen Jakobot

Jak’s passion for the practice of yoga asana began as an early child watching in awe as his Grandfather sat for 2 hours every morning doing pranayama breathing techniques and meditating. Ever since then it has been a journey of struggle and reward on the path to meditation and a deeper understanding of the self. Yoga asana has been very instrumental in Jak’s life.

He has spent the last 5 years deepening his own practice and preparing to bring this passion to others. Beginning the teacher training path in Encinitas, CA, Jak received his first 200 hour certification there in 2010.

Since then, he has been training closely with Jimmy Barkan and the Barkan method of Hot Yoga to further deepen his practice and teaching ability, completing the Barkan Method Hot Yoga Level I, II and III in 2011-2012.
