In our last blog we talked about preparing for your first hot yoga class in Boca Raton by staying hydrated, wearing the right clothes and bringing a towel. Those are just a few of the many things that you can do to ensure that you will have a great first class. The following is a list of a few more tips on how to get the most out of your first class at our yoga studio in Boca Raton:

  • Eat lightly- You will want to eat lighter, smaller meals throughout the day of your class, and be sure to avoid eating anything a couple of hours before. 
  • Listen to your body- Hot yoga can be challenging, and if you push yourself too hard to keep up with your instructor you could end up hurting yourself. Listen to your body, and if you need to take a break, take one!
  • Practice at your own level- During your first class you aren’t likely to be the most flexible yogi in the room. When you focus on your own journey, rather than worrying about being on the same level as everyone else, you will get the most out of the class.
  • Be open minded- Yoga is so much more than just a physical practice, it helps you to stay connected both spiritually and emotionally as well. The first time you are asked to close your eyes and focus on your breathing, it can make you feel a little silly, but go with it, you will be glad that you did!
