- Chest Openers- Bridge pose and other chest opening poses, like Cobra and Bow, will help to stimulate the thymus gland (which is main organ of the immune system) that is located in the center of your chest.
- Inversions- Inversions, like Plow pose and headstands, help your blood to circulate and your immune cells to fight off the bacteria or the virus that is making you sick in the first place!
- Restorative Poses- Stress can weaken your immune system, which can cause you to get sick. Poses like Child’s pose, Forward Folds, and Corpse pose are all perfect for calming your body and helping you to relax, so that the stress can melt away and your immune system can get stronger.
- Lion Pose- Right when you start to get a sore throat, it is a great idea to practice Lion pose. This is pose can activate the lymph nodes and tonsils in your neck, which are immune glands. This pose will help to stomp out your sickness early on!
