Is Hot Yoga Dying? What I’ve Seen in 45 Years
Lately I keep seeing headlines and posts saying Hot Yoga is on its way out. Teachers and studio owners keep asking me about it, so in this video I step back and give my honest answer after 45 years in the hot room.
I’ve watched this practice go through some big moments, and I’ve seen this before. I take you back to the early days, when Hot Yoga was barely known and we had to explain it to every person who walked through the door. I talk about what lit the fire, and what I think we may have forgotten along the way.
I say we on purpose. I’m not pointing a finger at anyone. I’m in this with you, and I think we can all do more.
Most important, I share what I believe teachers can do right now to keep their classes full and their students coming back.
